Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has injured his thumb while shooting a movie, and was rushed to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. According to reports, Khan had to undergo a surgery, and is currently been looked after by a team of doctors.
No further information about the injury was divulged, but sources suggest that a team of plastic and orthopedic surgeons are taking care of him. “A minor surgery was performed and he is doing fine,” a source informed. “He will be discharged tomorrow or day after tomorrow”.
Soha Ali Khan, sister of Khan, informed that the actor was given immediate medical attention, and added that his recovery process has already begun. “Timely medical attention was provided,” Soha said. “His recovery process has already begun.”
Soha, however, didn’t reveal when Khan will recover fully from the injury. She said that they will wait for doctors’ advice, and will act accordingly. “As for his release, doctors will advice,” Soha said.
Khan, who is currently shooting an unnamed movie under his home production, which is being directed by Akshat Verma, was visited by his family members, and wife Kareena Kapoor.
This is not the first time Khan has sustained an injury like this. In 2011, he got injured while shooting Agent Vinod. And, most recently in April, he got his hand injured while filming Rangoon in Arunachal Pradesh. Rangoon is produced and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
