The spin-off of the hit TV series “The Big Bang Theory” will revolve around the Sheldon Cooper character as a youngster.
Warner Bros. TV and CBS are in the early stages of developing the spin-off. Actor Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon in the flagship series, is also attached to the spin-off as an executive producer along with Chuck Lorre and “The Big Bang Theory” showrunner Steve Molaro, reports variety.com.
“The Big Bang Theory” co-creator and executive producer Bill Prady is likely to be on board as an executive producer as well.

Molaro will write the script focusing on Sheldon, the idiosyncratic and neurotic genius, as a youth growing up in Texas.
The character’s colourful family and formative years in the Lone Star state have often been referenced on “The Big Bang Theory.”
Laurie Metcalf earned an Emmy nomination this year for her recurring guest star role as Sheldon’s mother, Mary Cooper.
The TV series ended with 10 seasons.
