Euro 2016 Highlights | Payet scores brilliant late winner | France wins

A brilliant left footer by Dimitri Payet gave hosts France a winning start to their Euro 2016 campaign against Romania. French strikers Olivier Giroud and Griezmann both had chances to put their team in front in the first half but both teams failed to break the deadlock at the breather. Giroud’s header in the 57th minute gave hosts the lead. But it was negated soon by Bogdan Stancu off a penalty. But a minutes before the regulation time, Payet’s thunderous left footer settled the match in France’s favour.
