Bollywood superstar Salman Khan says his brother Arbaaz does not want to direct “Dabangg 3”, and that they will find a “good director” for it.

Salman and his other brother Sohail have been busy promoting their forthcoming film “Tubelight”.

While Sohail has directed Salman in films like “Auzaar”, “Jai Ho”, “Hello Brother” and “Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya”, Arbaaz has directed Salman in only one movie “Dabangg 2”.

During a media interaction here on Tuesday, when Salman was asked about his favourite director among the two, he said: “Since Arbaaz doesn’t want to direct, I feel Sohail is a better director because he is more patient and with Sohail, you can improvise on things but in a similar situation, Arbaaz gets panicked and his blood pressure starts to fluctuate.

“Now we are going to start ‘Dabangg 3’, so he (Arbaaz) told me ‘Very good, but I am not going to direct it and I am only producing it’. So I said, ‘Very good, we will find a good director for that’.”

Talking about the process of choosing his films, Salman said: “I feel that when you listen to a script and if you are not able to see yourself in that space, then ideally no matter how beautiful the script is you should not do it, or then you have to work that hard to visually see yourself in the movie.

“Whenever a filmmaker approaches me with a script, first thing is that, I need to see myself doing it and till the time it doesn’t happen, I don’t sign a movie. When Kabir Khan came to me with the script of ‘Tubelight’, I gradually started looking myself in that character.”

He also spoke about the India and China war backdrop which has been shown in the film.

“We have just used it as a backdrop. In this film, we have shown that war should end as soon as possible so that soldiers from both countries could return to their homes because whenever war happens, soldiers on both sides die and their kids or parents live their whole life without them.”

“Tubelight” is releasing on June 23.

Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan are officially divorced now https://glint.tv/movies/malaika-arora-and-arbaaz-khan-are-officially-divorced-now/ Fri, 12 May 2017 11:21:28 +0000 https://glint.tv/?p=8699

A day after they jointly attended the Justin Bieber concert, Bollywood director Arbaaz S. Khan and his wife Malaika Arora were formally divorced in a Mumbai court on Thursday.

The celeb-couple, always the toast in high-profile parties and glam circles, were married for 18 years and have a 14-year old son, Arhaan.

While Malaika, 44, has secured custody of Arhaan, Arbaaz, 49, will have visitation rights on his son, as per the settlement reached in the Bandra Family Court.

Separated since over two years, the couple had filed for divorce in October 2016, and later attended a mandatory counselling session on November 29 in the Bandra Family Court, but failed to reconcile.

All was clearly not hunky dory between them after they abruptly stopped appearing together in a teleserial, Power Couple, last year in which they were the hosts, but Malaika returned only for shooting the grand finale.

However, they were still seen together in public on certain occasions, including the recent birthday celebrations of Arhaan in which the entire Khan clan joined them, and on Wednesday they attended the Bieber concert in Navi Mumbai travelling in the same vehicle.

Son of celebrated Bollywood writer Salim Khan, Arbaaz is younger brother of superstar Salman Khan and film-maker Sohail Khan.

The multi-faceted Malaika, whose mother is a former media executive, has been a VJ, model, dancer and TV hostess and is elder sister of actress Amrita Arora.

Through their company Arbaaz Khan Productions, Arbaaz and Malaika had released some of the biggest blockbusters like “Dabangg” (2010) and “Dabangg 2” (2012).

Revealed! Arbaaz Khan opens up his relationship status with Malaika Arora Khan https://glint.tv/movies/revealed-arbaaz-khan-opens-up-his-relationship-status-with-malaika-arora-khan/ Wed, 17 Aug 2016 19:04:31 +0000 https://glint.tv/?p=3073

After months of speculations and media reports, Arbaaz Khan has finally revealed his relationship status with Malaika Arora Khan. Arbaaz has confirmed that currently they are not together and giving time and space to each other.

“At this point of time we are not together,” Arbaaz said. “We are separated, and that’s about it.”

The news has come as heartbreak for the fans, who want to see the A-list couple together, after a lot of celebrity couples parted way at the beginning of 2016. Sushant Singh Rajput-Ankita Lokhande and Farhan Akhtar-Adhuna Bhabnani also got separated this year.

Recently, Malaika had shared her holiday pictures on social media. She is reportedly also close to a British businessman. Arbaaz, meanwhile, was seen chilling with an anonymous girl in Goa.

“The truth is, we have taken a break, but that doesn’t mean people can presume, assume and speculate things of such malicious nature,” the couple had said in a joint statement, earlier this year. “We are taking out time to figure out our lives.”

“Yes, it’s true that we are separated, but where our lives go and what transpires between us, it is for us to decide. Wherever it goes from here, we will talk about it when we are ready to”

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has, again, found himself in a middle of a controversy, after making an alleged derogatory remark on women. Salman was quoted saying that he felt like ‘a raped woman’ while shooting one of the scenes in his upcoming movie Sultan.

Salman’s comment has faced such a fury that National Women’s Commission (NWC) has termed his statement ‘reprehensible’. The NWC has even asked Salman to make a public apology for the remark, and explain his statement within seven days.

After all the storm following Salman’s remark came into light, first it was father Salim Khan who came in for his son’e defence on Twitter.

The Sultan has maintained silence on the issue, and is yet to issue any statement, but his brother Arbaaz Khan has come out in his defence. Arbaaz said that Salman’s statement has been misinterpreted and his brother will issue clarification, if required.

“There are some things which we say while talking but we should look at the intention – why was it said? I definitely have no doubt that whatever Salman said, the intention was not wrong,” Arbaaz said, during the launch of the logo of his new film Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai.

Meanwhile, Salman has got a mixed response on the micro-blogging site Twitter. Film director Vivek Agnihotri wrote that there is no need to, while other users said Salman was misquoted in the media.
