Actress Alia Bhatt has praised filmmaker S.S. Rajamoulis magnum opus “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” and says she is keen to work with its lead actor Prabhas.

Alia spoke about Prabhas while chatting with her fans on Twitter on Sunday.

“Need a new word for this giant. Rock-buster? Loved it.. it was epic,” Alia tweeted when a fan asked her to describe “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” in one word.

Alia later said she considers Prabhas as her favourite south Indian actor.

Asked whether she would like to work with Prabhas, Alia wrote: “For sure!”

The 24-year-old currently has films like “Dragon” and “Gully Boy” in her kitty.

She said she is “excited” about “Dragon”, which also features Ranbir Kapoor.

Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli on Thursday said the unfortunate leak of the trailer of his upcoming magnum opus “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” happened due to a “bug in Facebook”.

Talking to the media here at the trailer launch on Thursday, Rajamouli said the trailer leak happened due to a bug in Facebook. He did not elaborate on it any further.

“Piracy is different, and a leak is totally different. We are still trying to find out how the trailer leak happened. It is very irritating for the entire team but we can’t blame anyone without knowing everything about the leak,” Rajamouli said.

The trailer was supposed to be launched at 5 p.m. on Thursday. However, following a leak of the Tamil version of the trailer, the makers were forced to release the trailer of all the versions online.

Talking about the second part of the franchise, he said: “Unlike the first part, which was low on emotions and high on grandeur, the second part will have both factors in equal proportion.”

Rajamouli said he was tense while working on the trailer, but the output is satisfactory.

“When I saw the trailer with Keeravani’s background score, the output was beyond my expectations,” he said.

The film starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj is due for release on April 28.

“Baahubali 2: The Conclusion”, releasing otherwise on April 14, is the thrilling continuation of the 2015 local box office hit “Baahubali: The Beginning”.

It reunites Rajamouli with Prabhas, along with Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia.

“A major factor for the wide appeal of the ‘Baahubali’ films is the scale and immersive nature with which we designed and filmed them.

“So, it is very exciting that Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will be released in the IMAX format, which best showcases this and gives the viewer a great experience,” said Rajamouli.

“Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” marks the third Indian local language production to be released in IMAX. Earlier, “Dhoom:3” was released in the format.

“Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” picks up again with hero Shivudu (Prabhas) as he comes to terms with his legacy and the responsibility placed on him by this knowledge.

Shivudu’s quest aims to find the answer to the question that has been plaguing fans of the franchise: Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?

The much awaited theatrical trailer of S.S. Rajamouli’s “Baahubali 2” will be released on March 16, the makers announced on Saturday.
In a Facebook chat, Rajamouli and producer Shobu Yarlagadda confirmed the trailer will be released between 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on March 16 in theatres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The trailer will be released online at 5 p.m. on the same day.

“This is the same fashion we followed for the trailer of the first part. We had released it across theatres in Andhra and Telangana. We are following the same approach for the second part as well,” Rajamouli said.

The makers also confirmed that the film will hit the screens worldwide on April 28.

Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj, the second part will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.

“The Sword of Baahubali”, a virtual reality film, based on the characters from S.S Rajamouli’s “Baahubali”, will be premiered at the virtual arcade at 16th Annual Tribeca Film Festival.

The fest will take place from April 19 to 30.

The VR film, though based on the characters from “Baahubali”, will have a different story line. It will be released post the release of “Baahubali: The Conclusion” in April.

The film’s producer Shobu Yarlagadda tweeted on Friday: “Excited that ‘The Sword of Baahubali’ based on ‘Baahubali’ is an official selection at Tribeca festival 2017.”

The teaser of “The Sword of Baahubali”, over the last few weeks, is being screened at various VR booths across Hyderabad.

The teaser will be screened at the Pune Comic Con, on Saturday and Sunday,

The motion poster of S.S. Rajamouli’s “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” made a thunderous debut on Saturday at the ongoing Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival with Star.

The first look of the much-awaited film was unveiled in the presence of its team, including director Rajamouli, actor Prabhas and actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Anushka Shetty.

Before releasing the motion poster, the director called it a birthday gift to Prabhas.

In the poster, with rain and thunder in the background, an intense-looking Prabhas is seen flaunting his abs, with a chain wrapped around one arm and a sword in the other.

The “Baahubali” team also launched the teaser to a virtual reality spin-off film, set around the world of Baahubali and gave the audience a sneak peek into a game and a comic, based on the epic franchise.
