Last year, when Sonakshi was promoting “Akira” in Delhi, Badshah joined her for an impromptu gig.

Popular for his independent albums such as “Born Star” and “Terminator”, he has also rapped for films such as “Fugly”, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, “Shivaay” and “Ok Jaanu”.

His latest song is “Tamma tamma again” from Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt-starrer “Badrinath Ki Dulhania”.

Filmmaker Karan Johar and rapper Badshah might be coming together to search for a singing sensation by judging upcoming TV show “Dil Hai Hindustani”.

According to a source, Karan and Badshah will wear the judge’s hat and will find the most talented singers across the globe for musical extravaganza “Dil Hai Hindustani”, which will be aired on Star Plus.

“The show promises to bring global music zest redefining the power of Bollywood music. Auditions will soon commence in Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai and several other parts of the country and abroad. They will invite performers from varied genres with unique singing styles,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Karan is looking ahead to the release of “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It will release on Friday.

Salman Khan, meanwhile, is cheering for them. He promoted the event on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, and urged his fans to follow the tour. The tour also includes Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar and rapper Badshah.

The tour has been organised by Rajinder Singh, who has brought countless Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, to the US.

“Out of all my shows till date Dream Team Concert has weaved magic and fan frenzy, with full on entertainment and beautiful pyrotechnics and fireworks on stage,” Singh said. “Fans are already asking for these stars to be here again.”

The stars recently performed in Houston in front of thousands of fans and are all slated to visit San Jose and Orlando this weekend. Chicago, Los Angeles and New York will host the events next week.

Shah Rukh termed himself a film lover, and said that he has no regret in featuring in movies, which crashed at the box office. He also talked about his recent flicks Dilwale and Fan, which failed to do as per the expectations, and were trashed by both fans and critics.

“As an actor, choosing the film that I want to do is the freedom that I should have,” SRK said. “When you sit with a story, sometimes you just want to do it. Like I mentioned, sometimes I realise it’s not my world, but I get moulded in that space only to see if I can pull it off.”

SRK also talked about the disparity in the Bollywood, where actresses are paid less than their male counterparts, despite putting the same kind of hard work. Shah Rukh said he is making efforts in changing the inequality with his banner Red Chillies Entertainment.

“I don’t talk about the change. I am the change. In my films, the girl’s name always comes before mine,” Shah Rukh insisted. “On my film’s set, the girl is always in a higher position than men – nobody can call them ‘tu’; it’s always ‘aap’,” he added.

Rapper Badshah attended the launch of Yamaha RAY ZR Mera Swag event and sang the promotional song created by him. Talking to the media, Badshah was praise for bike manufacturer Yamaha. And he also spoke about who has the best swag in Bollywood and his experience of working with music composer AR Rahman.

Since Yo Yo Honey Singh took a jibe at Badshah in March, everything is not right between him and rapper Raftaar. It became evident in a recent media interaction when Raftaar vowed not to work with Singh anytime in the near future.

Badshah, Raftaar and Honey Singh were part of a famous musical group Mafia Mundeer, which gave number of hits. But, Honey Singh’s potshots put him and other group members at loggerheads. During a media interaction, Raftaar was quotes as saying, “I can only vouch for myself. Never.”

Raftaar’s first solo and inspiration

The 27-year-old rapper is coming up with his first solo, named ‘Instagram Love’. Raftaar insisted that working with other singers was his learning period that is why his solo journey took a while to start.

“I was waiting for the right time to start my solo journey,” Raftaar insisted. “Before this, I was learning by being part of all the songs that you know me for. I am hoping much more from my journey,”

Raftaar said his new song ‘Instagram Love’ is inspired from the young generation, which instantly falls in love without knowing the other person. He added that now youngsters easily convince themselves that they are in love, just by seeing pictures on social networking sites like Instagram.
