Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sultan has left everyone awestruck, as the movie has crossed 500 crore-mark internationally. The movie has now become the fifth highest grossing film, after Dhoom 3, Baahubali, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and PK.

Sultan is likely to beat Dhoom 3, and give stiff competition to Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, but it is unlikely to beat Aamir Khan’s PK, which grossed Rs 792 crore at the box office. The Salman-starrer joined the 100 crore club within three days of its release, and has been riding high ever since.

After the fantastic opening in the first week, the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial venture, has earned 267.31 crore from India, while the rest have come from overseas collections. Even the controversy surrounding Salman’s inappropriate remarks just before the release didn’t affect the movie.

Meanwhile, Salman is now preparing for his movie Tubelight, which is likely to his the big screens on Eid, next year. The movie will be directed by Kabir Khan, with the 1962 Sino-Indian war being the center of the story. The shooting is currently on hold because of recent unrest in the Kashmir Valley.

The leading lady in the movie is yet to be named. According to reports, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have been approached for the role.

Right from the heart! Shah Rukh Khan gets candid about his career https://glint.tv/movies/right-from-the-heart-shah-rukh-khan-gets-candid-about-his-career/ Mon, 04 Jul 2016 12:38:41 +0000 https://glint.tv/?p=2533

It is a well-known fact that Shah Rukh Khan is a hardworking actor. His grit, determination and will to become big have made him a superstar which he is today. He is recognised worldwide, and it is not wrong in saying that he currently is the face of Indian cinema.

In his latest interview with a leading daily, Shah Rukh candidly talked about his family, films and whatnot. The Badshah Khan also opened about his career. He talked about the kind of films he has done, and the choices he had made over the years.

Shah Rukh termed himself a film lover, and said that he has no regret in featuring in movies, which crashed at the box office. He also talked about his recent flicks Dilwale and Fan, which failed to do as per the expectations, and were trashed by both fans and critics.

“As an actor, choosing the film that I want to do is the freedom that I should have,” SRK said. “When you sit with a story, sometimes you just want to do it. Like I mentioned, sometimes I realise it’s not my world, but I get moulded in that space only to see if I can pull it off.”

SRK also talked about the disparity in the Bollywood, where actresses are paid less than their male counterparts, despite putting the same kind of hard work. Shah Rukh said he is making efforts in changing the inequality with his banner Red Chillies Entertainment.

“I don’t talk about the change. I am the change. In my films, the girl’s name always comes before mine,” Shah Rukh insisted. “On my film’s set, the girl is always in a higher position than men – nobody can call them ‘tu’; it’s always ‘aap’,” he added.
