Young and vivacious Disha Patani added glamour to the Manav Gangwani’s show at the India Couture Week (ICW) 2017 when she walked for the designer as a showstopper in black trousseau with ‘maang tikka’ adding drama to her looks.

“I think ‘Maang tikka’ gave a different look to my personality and it also broke the monotony. I love ‘maang tikkas’, it just adds so much to your face,” Patani told reporters post her confident ramp walk on day two of the ongoing fashion week, here.

Gangwani, who has styled the likes of Kangana Ranaut and many more, celebrated India with his line titled “India @ 70”. It was an amalgamation of the rich heritage of India along with modern edgy elements that are incorporated in each garment.

“The inspiration for this collection from the atelier of Manav Gangwani (the brand) has been taken from various regions in India. I have incorporated elements of design from different regions like Kashmir reflecting jamwars, bandhanis of Rajasthan and brocades of Varanasi,” he told IANS initially.

The show was different from the usual ones.

Being an offsite show, the sitting arrangements were made in a way that most of the attendees enjoyed the beautiful presentation from the front row. This was also the reason why the ramp was little long compared to the regular shows.

Disha too enjoyed walking the runway in the designer’s line.

“This particular piece has an amalgamation Indian and western style. Its very chic, classy and refreshing,” said Disha.

After making her international debut with Jackie Chan-starrer “Kung Fu Yoga”, actress Disha Patani says she hasnt chalked down a strategy about her next move, and would like to go with the flow.

Asked how she plans to take her international career ahead, Disha told IANS over phone from Mumbai: “I have never planned anything. ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ was also never planned or anything… So let’s see what happens.”

The actress, who was seen in “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story”, says she “would love to do something” that she enjoys working on.

Disha, who has been roped in as brand ambassador of Pond’s, has been in news for her alleged romantic relationship with actor Tiger Shroff and her strong reply to slut-shaming trolls.

The actress says she doesn’t take social media trolls seriously. “They don’t matter. It is not part of my job so I really don’t think about all this,” she said.

The actress is yet to sign her next project. There were reports that she has replaced Sara Ali Khan in “Student of the Year 2”, but she denied such claims.

Ever since the trailer for the Jackie Chan and Sonu Sood starrer Kung Fu Yoga was released a few days back, people have been super excited for the film. After all, it’s not everyday that you see the Chinese superstar and our very own Chhedi Singh in one frame.

However, more than the action, people were excited about Jackie shaking a leg to our desi Bollywood tunes. And the wait was finally over when a song titled Goosebump was released recently.

Legendary action star Jackie Chan, who is here to promote his forthcoming film “Kung Fu Yoga”, met Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, during his visit.

Salman posted a photograph with the “Rush Hour” star from their meeting on Monday. The image shows the two actors posing with two stuffed panda toys, sharing a light moment for the camera.

Previously, Salman had thanked Chan on Twitter for offering this film to his “Dabangg” co-star Sonu Sood.

Sonu had replied to the “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” star by tweeting: “Bhai Salman Khan I have an unusual power-packed surprise for you. See you soon in India… Pandeji Hum aah rahe hai. Jackie Chan.”

“Kung Fu Yoga” is part of the three-film agreement signed between China and India during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent visit to India.

The film also stars actors Disha Patani, Sonu Sood, Amyra Dastur and Sonu Sood. Directed by Stanley Tong, the action comedy film was shot in India, Dubai and Beijing.

In the photograph, Disha can be seen sitting with her left leg upfront, while covering her modesty with her hands. In the image, she is only wearing black underwear and boots.

Actress Disha Patani says she is not looking for being the best in the industry and doesn’t aim to be a superstar.

Asked if she fears failure, Disha told us over the phone from Mumbai: “I think the most amazing thing about me joining the Bollywood industry…I never aim to be a superstar, I never believe to be like the best. That’s not what I am looking for.”

“I love to work, I love the camera and I like to act. I want to do different kind of things in acting and doing a film doesn’t only include acting, it includes dancing and many other things.”

Disha, who made her acting debut in 2015 with the film “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story”, added that she likes the whole aura about shooting on a set, and never thinks about failure and success.

“I understand that you cannot always be on the top or be the best. It’s not in my mind right now. Maybe, I think it is too early. I am just a film old,” she said.

The 24-year-old says she is only thinking about doing good films and “parts that people would remember”.

“MS Dhoni – The Untold Story”, a film on the life of cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has minted over Rs 112 crore since its release on September 30, becoming the biggest earning biopic in Indian cinema, claim its makers.

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Arun Pandey of Inspired Entertainment, the film, directed by Neeraj Pandey, narrates Dhoni’s journey from the lanes of Ranchi to his becoming the captain of the Indian cricket team.

It collected Rs 3.40 crore on Monday (October 10), taking the total to Rs 112.70 crore.

Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, said in a statement: “‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’ is now the highest earning biopic ever made (in Indian cinema). This goes to show the love people have for Mahi and how they have been discovered, adopted and promoted the film.

“We are truly humbled with the response from his fans, cricket lovers and movie audiences alike.”

According to the statement, issued on behalf of the film’s makers, the demand for the shows have increased despite big releases like “Mirzya” and “Tutak Tutak Tutiya”.

The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the title role, and also features Kiara Advani, Disha Patani and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.
