This is hilarious! Riteish Deshmukh stops at nothing.

Is there anything left for Riteish Deshmukh to steal after stealing movie posters, movie trailers and interviews of his fellow actors? It turns out that the Bank Chor lead actor was waiting to unveil his last big chori at the very end – Riteish has managed to steal from YRF’s iconic trilogy, Dhoom!

In the last song of the film, Jai Baba Bank Chor, Riteish can be seen dancing along with Dhoom stars Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai, John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra inside the actual footage from the Dhoom series. Coincidentally, managing to pull off this miraculous feat is also the reason behind the title of the song: Jai Baba Bank Chor indeed!

Self-confessedly India’s STUPIDEST comic thriller, Bank Chor, directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil, is all set to embarrass its makers when it releases in theatres on June 16.

Happy for my father: Hrithik on ‘Kaabil’ success https://glint.tv/movies/happy-for-my-father-hrithik-on-kaabil-success/ Mon, 06 Feb 2017 09:27:38 +0000 https://glint.tv/?p=7559

Actor Hrithik Roshan says the success of “Kaabil” has made him especially happy for his father Rakesh Roshan.

“‘Kaabil’ getting 200 more screens in the second week is a sign from the universe that one must just focus on good work and leave the rest to God. This is a huge victory. I want to thank all the ‘Kaabil’ fans for making this happen.

“It is unprecedented and I feel especially happy for my father who remains one of the few active and successful non-corporatised producers in our film industry. My gratitude to all the forces who made this happen,” Hrithik said.

“I am delighted that our neighbours will get to see ‘Kaabil’ in cinemas all across. ‘Kaabil’ has received an overwhelming response from India and I hope for the same love from the audience there,” he added.

The film has grown at the box office since its release in spite of formidable competition from the Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Raees”, which released on the same day.

Adversity is important for victory at the end: Hrithik Roshan (Interview) https://glint.tv/movies/adversity-is-important-for-victory-at-the-end-hrithik-roshan-interview/ Thu, 02 Feb 2017 07:30:48 +0000 https://glint.tv/?p=7495

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan says that like any normal person, he too has been in situations where he has lost all hope. But he sees such adversities are god-given opportunities to become an improved person, one who understands life and the world better.

“They (good or bad times) affect me just like they affect anybody else. I become very comfortable with my adversities because of a few philosophies that I believe in. I never take anything too seriously.

“When you face adversity, god is giving you an opportunity to become a better person, a better character, more informed and educated about your life and the world,”

The 43-year-old, a father of two, says it has taken him almost half his life to realise that he is an adventurer at heart.

“I am an adventurer who can’t end up doing the same things every day. An adventurer explores and goes places where he is afraid of going, and this holds true for me as an actor as well.”

The actor’s struggle to overcome a stammer during his growing-up years, a broken marriage with childhood sweetheart Sussanne Khan and his legal battle with actress Kangana Ranaut — these have been some of the phases in Hrithik’s life which grabbed public and media attention. But his charisma has remained intact for his fans.

This has been proved once again with the success of his latest release “Kaabil”. The film had a box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “Raees”, but it has managed to mint nearly Rs 80 crore in the seven days since its release.

Asked if the film could have done better business if not released with the superstar’s film, Hrithik said what matters is “not the gold”.

“What matters is if you are putting your 100 per cent in the work. One important thing I have learnt from this (box office clash), and something I have been teaching my kids, is that the gold is not important; what is important is to run at your best.”

“Kaabil” is a revenge drama involving a visually-challenged couple. Hrithik plays a man whose wife (Yami Gautam) is raped, and he sets out to seek revenge.

The rape scene and the incident’s effect on the victim — who commits suicide — have not been received too well by some.

Defending the film, Hrithik said it’s not negative at all.

“This is the depiction of human reality… Where sometimes in our life, (even) I felt that there is no reason to go on. (You feel) so low and down that you fail to see any prospect of a happy future. Many of us have been through adversities where it seems like ‘This is the end and one can’t go on’. While some of us succumb to it, some of us don’t.

“This is the story of a simple, sweet girl who goes through so much, not once, but twice — and she unfortunately succumbs to it. On the other hand, it is also the story of a man who fights for justice, love, life, truth, and that is the brightness. After something bad, the good happens, and this is what the film is all about.

Adversity is very important to bring out the victory at the end, just like in life,”

So, what next after “Kaabil”?

“Everything is undecided right now. I haven’t signed any film. I liked a few scripts. Will take some time to decide,” he signed off.

Box Office Collection : Raees Vs Kaabil : Who Won Day 1 Box Office Battle? https://glint.tv/movies/raees-vs-kaabil-who-won-the-first-day-box-office-battle/ Thu, 26 Jan 2017 07:37:31 +0000 https://glint.tv/?p=7332

Who managed to draw more audience on the first day of the release, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees or Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil?

Two major releases Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil have released on the same day. There have been a big difference in collections on day one.

Raees has been much awaited because of its strong plot. Shah Rukh Khan is seen in a grey role after a long time. Also, the makers of the film have been engaged in impressive promotional techniques. Promotions on the social networking sites which has kept the recall value on.

On the other hand, Rakesh Roshan has a unique ability to give what will work at the box office. This time, he has come up with a unique romantic story. The film is about two visually impaired people, played by Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam. The film portrays a beautiful world of a blind couple and how their world is plunged into darkness after a shocking incident. Both the films stand strong with their powerful storyline.

But who managed to draw more audience on the first day of the release?

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees witnessed the opening of around 55-60% in its morning shows. While Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil had opened to around 20-25% which is a huge difference. Shah Rukh Khan starrer film has crushed Hrithik Roshan starrer film and how.

Raees on it’s first day collected Rs 21 crore net approx.(210 million) While Kaabil collected Rs 7.85 (78 million) crore net approx. Seems Raees has wiped out Kaabil and how. Kabil needs to pick up big time in this week before it gets washed out.

Rating: ***1/2

Film: “Kaabil”
Director: Sanjay Gupta
Cast: Hrithik Roshan, Yami Gautam, Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy

Why do awful things happen to good God-fearing, law-abiding, tax-paying, spouse-loving people?

Look! Just see that man’s face. Rohit loves his wife Suparna to death. Her death, as it happens to be. A moment so shocking in the film and filmed with such gruesome pathos, that I found my hands going up to my mouth in sheer horror.

Noooooo! This can’t happen to such lovely people going through such a dream-like journey of togetherness, rudely interrupted by a kind of life-stopping tragedy that sucks the very breath out of romantic yearnings. “Kaabil” tells a very simple two-storeyed story.

In the first opulently romantic overture, Rohit is set up for a date with Suparna. They meet in a string of beautifully beaded encounters — Rahul and Suparna Get Lost In A Mall, Rahul and Suparna Take To The Dance Floor, etc. Then they fall in love, and get married.

This is all familiar mush territory shot by cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee in a filtered haze of delirious romanticism. There is just one difference. Both Rohit and Suparna are blind. Well, technically, that is. For all practical purposes, they can see far better than many people around them.

A lot of the film’s warmly conversational dialogues take good natured digs at people who can “see” but can’t really comprehend the immense power of humanity to heal. Instead, they choose to hurt one another, sometimes just for fun.

The hideous doings of Amit Shellar (Rohit Roy) and his friend Wasim (Shaidur Rehman) break the idyllic beauty of the couple’s paradise with a shattering impact. It’s an ugly turning point in the plot, and one that signals the turn-around in mood from tender soft supple colours to a splash of angry blood red orange glow hues.

Hrithik’s transformation from romance to rage is so credible, compelling and chilling you flow with his fury to the battered, bruised, bloodied, wounded love-soldier wondering if hell hath any fury like a blind man scorned.

So far, I thought the most convincing blind act I had seen was Naseeruddin Shah in “Sparsh”. Now I am not so sure. Hrithik plays blind with a blinding brilliance. Intelligently enough, his unseeing character stumbles and panics when thrown into strange circumstances and places rather than act cool heroically super confident.

Haseeno Ka Deewana Song Video | Kaabil

To understand this star-actor’s mastery over his character’s dithering destiny, we just have to see how he dances with his Significant Other in an elaborately staged ballroom sequence. Here Hrithik dances how a blind man would dance if he could dance like Hrithik Roshan.

The vendetta, when it bursts forth in a raging torrent, is again defined wholly by the protagonist’s character’s physical abilities. Action director Sham Kaushal conceives elaborately staged stunts where Hrithik fights using his extra sharp audio perceptions to compensate for his character’s visual impairment.

It’s an astonishingly skilled performance. Sharp and penetrating, conveying an elaborately charted map of the human heart and yet never obvious in its intentions. This is his best since Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Guzaarish”.

Raees Movie Review: A typical Bollywood Blockbuster designed for the masses

Funny Classroom Videos; Student Reactions to Punishment | Glint TV

Yami Gautam as the love of his life is capable and likeable and seems to love the attention she gets from the camera and her co-star. But after Hrithik, it is Ronit Roy as an unscrupulous contractor-politician who stuns with his ability to say much without speaking it all. Watch him in the sequence where he visits Hrithik to condole. His casual reference to crime and sexual violation will shock you. Ronit’s Marathi accent is bang-on.

There are some other very accomplished actors around, notably Narendra Jha as a conscientious policeman and Girish Kulkarni as his corrupt colleague. But if I’ve to single out one other hero in this saga of fumbling fortitude besides Hrithik, it would have to be sound designer Resul Pookutty. No other Indian film in recent times has made such telling use of sound. Voices and whispers blend into the sanguinary fabric to create an aura of ominous retribution and redemption.

As a director, Sanjay Gupta has seldom been more willing to let his characters appear vulnerable and undefended though not defenceless. Gupta creates a romance splendid and tender, only to quash it with a brutal spin that takes us kicking and screaming to a finale that never ceases to amaze us without losing its plausibility.

“Kaabil” is a film about love and its abrupt send-off. It is a violent film. But the emphasis is on the damage done to the soul of the wronged man. It must be seen for Hrithik Roshan’s incredibly moving performance and for the unexpected glimpse it provides into its director’s romantic personality.

Battle of the blockbusters: ‘Kaabil’ versus ‘Raees’ https://glint.tv/movies/battle-of-the-blockbusters-kaabil-versus-raees/ Tue, 24 Jan 2017 08:52:15 +0000 https://glint.tv/?p=7276

It’s a box office clash that has been widely spoken about — but there are high chances that “Kaabil” and “Raees”, releasing on Friday, will do exceedingly well as they are both eminently watchable films.

This time, the level of engagingness in both the films is high. Both are love stories. Intense love stories.

In “Kaabil”, Hrithik Roshan loves his wife to death, whose death you will know soon enough, and HE is ready to go to any lengths to avenge the wrong done to her. The last 20 minutes of “Kaabil” are so heart-in-the-mouth, you would be advised to hold your bursting bladders until the last drop of blood is shed and avenged on screen.

“Kaabil” is by far Sanjay Gupta’s best work, more emotional and dramatic than any of the violent sagas he has narrated in the past. Hrithik gives his finest, most searing and passionate performance since “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai” and “Guzaarish”. His intensity of emotional expression is disturbing, haunting.

“Raees” is also a love story. And it’s got nothing to do with Mahira Khan. Shah Rukh Khan’s character of a man of ill-gotten power and wealth from Gujarat in the 1980s, is in love. With himself. Since I believe Shah Rukh in real life truly loves himself, the merger of the actor and the character is so brutally complete, it’s like watching mirror images of two identical souls — one off camera, the other on it –dressed in very different clothes.

“Raees” is also about how two heterosexual men can be bonded spiritually even while being on separate sides of the firing line. This is perhaps the first time in his entire career as a leading man that Shah Rukh has found a co-star who is compelling in his own right.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, when pitched against Shah Rukh. truly defines what ‘The Clash Of The Titans’ means. He does with Shah Rukh what a Rishi Kapoor or Vinod Khanna could never do with Amitabh Bachchan.

Tit for tat.

The two actors keep us ruthlessly riveted to the screen. The movement of the plot is almost maniacal, to match the manic energy and mutinous passion of the two men at each other’s throats.

More than anything else, the two films this week prove what Hindi cinema has known all along. Nothing can replace the cult of superstardom. The mysticism, magic and magnetism that Khan and Roshan bring to the screen, have to be seen to be believed.

Don’t pick one between “Raees” and “Kaabil”. Go see both.
