Showcasing the sizzling chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, the song has been composed by Pritam and voiced by Arijit Singh.

The film is about the duo travelling across different countries looking for Sejal’s lost engagement ring.

Imtiaz Ali has come out with a short film titled “Bruno and Juliet” narrating the love story of two dogs. The filmmaker says it is a “conventional love story of characters that are unconventional”.

Ali has collaborated with Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short films for a three-movie association, and “Bruno and Juliet” is the first film. “Bruno and Juliet” is presented by Ali and is written and directed by Khawar Jamsheed.

“‘Bruno and Juliet’ is a conventional love story of characters that are unconventional lovers for cinema- Dogs. The film explores the basic need of two lovers to unite, only in this film the lovers are dogs,” Ali said in a statement. 

The short film depicts an unusual friendship and an unspoken love between two dogs, Bruno and Juliet. 

Jamsheed said: “‘Bruno and Juliet’ is very special to me. It is about an unlikely friendship between two unlikely protagonists. I used to observe dogs in my neighbourhood closely and found their friendship very fascinating. So, I picked up my camera and started following the dogs filming them for 22 days.”

After months of speculation, it was officially revealed by Shah Rukh, Anushka and Imtiaz through their social media handles late on Thursday night that their movie is titled “Jab Harry Met Sejal” — an obvious take on the Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.

Interestingly, the title is also reminiscent of Imtiaz’s superhit movie “Jab We Met”.

“Jab Harry Met Sejal”  has now been set for release on August 4, thereby averting a box office clash with Akshay Kumar’s “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”, sources in the know of the development have said.
The romantic drama, widely shot in Prague, Amsterdam, Lisbon and Budapest, marks the third time that the two actors have been paired after “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” and “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.

The first glimpses reflect a positive vibe with Shah Rukh and Anushka portrayed at their jovial best.

Taking this positivity forward, Shah Rukh, who is also presenting the movie under his Red Chillies Entertainments banner, decided it would be best for the films to release a week apart, the sources close to the film told IANS.

“Seeking your love,” Imtiaz posted for fans on Facebook, alongside the film’s first two looks which carry the tagline — “What you seek is seeking you”.

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, whose next is a Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma-starrer “The Ring” (tentatively titled), says the title of his film is not yet decided but will be done soon.

“The name of the film is not yet decided, we have some time. August 11… The film is going to release. So we will announce the name very soon,” Imtiaz said at the screening of Richa Chadha’s debut production “Khoon Ali Chithi”.

Asked about the box office clash with Akshay Kumar’s film “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”, Imtiaz said: “There are only 52 weeks in a year and some of them have been taken away by other things and of course, there are more than 52 films. So, clashes are not a big deal.”

The “Tamasha” director also gave his views on short films.

“I am very much interested in short films. I have released two short films and I am planning to make some more. It is interesting as you can showcase a different story. All the stories are not of one and a half hour or two hours. So we cannot make a feature film on it.

“The impact of short films and feature films are different. Short films are like pickles so, it’s very effective at a time. But you cannot eat it for a long time. For that you need vegetables, which is like a long film. So, I think both things are necessary,” said the “Highway” director.

Scripts are often called the foundation of a film, but Imtiaz Ali says he follows no procedure to pen his scripts, which are more like notes that he writes to himself.

The scripts of Imtiaz’s movies like “Jab We Met”, “Highway” and “Tamasha” are available for reading and download throughout February on online platform Film Companion. This is for film lovers, students and enthusiasts to know what their favourite movies look like on paper — the way the writers and makers had envisioned the same.

Commenting on sharing these scripts, Imtiaz said in a statement: “Reading a script specifies the job of a director. The director is the difference between the script and screen. In my case I hope no one follows the procedure of how the script is written, since I follow none. Also I am untrained and untutored. And since I have always written what I have directed, the script is more like notes to myself.”

Film critic Anupama Chopra is the editor and founder of Film Companion.

She said: “Film scripts educate and entertain. In February, we celebrate the work of a filmmaker who has shaped our notions of modern love. ‘Tamasha’, ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Highway’ are provocative narratives of love and longing.”
