Actor-filmmaker Anil Kapoor says he feels protective towards his son Harshvardhan as he is still naive in Bollywood.

The actor spoke about his son, who made his debut in Bollywood with “Mirzya” last year, in an interview in GQ India June 2017 issue, read a statement.

“I’m protective because I feel Harsh is still naive. Like for example, he’ll say no to very big filmmakers. I hope they understand that he really wants to work with them and means well, but he’s not ready to do those films. I wish he’d at least spoken to me before… But it’s fine… That’s his decision,” Anil said.

What would he change about Harshvardhan?

“I want him to loosen up. I want him to meet people and be more social,” Anil said.

Anil, who also has two daughters Sonam and Rhea, has been part of the industry for over three decades, and made a name for himself on foreign shores too courtesy “Slumdog Millionaire” and “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”.

Asked if he is planning to call it a day anytime soon, Anil said his children want him to work.

“I’m waiting for the day when they come and tell me, ‘Dad, enough’. Nobody (in the family) takes me seriously,” he said.

To this, Harshvardhan replied that he wants him to do more films so that “I can be creatively more liberated and make the choices I want”.

The “Bewafaa” actor quipped: “By which he means, he can be experimental and I make the money. They’re all very selfish. They don’t care about me.”

Actress Saiyami Kher, who has had a stint in sports too, has come on board to endorse ADIDAS Running, and she hopes she is able to encourage more women in the country to run towards fitness.

With this, Saiyami, who made her Bollywood debut with “Mirziya” last year, has joined a host of world-class athletes in representing the three stripes of adidas.

Meet the two new faces of Bollywood. Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher make their debut in Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Mirzya’. Harshvardhan is Anil Kapoor’s son and Saiyami is the granddaughter of yesteryear actor Usha Kiran and niece of Tanvi Azmi.

At the musical launch of the movie the movie’s screenplay writer Gulzar recited poetry, singer Daler Mehndi and composer Shankar sang songs from the movie. It was grand musical extravaganza. Mirzya is slated to be released on 7th October.

Anil Kapoor’s son, Harshvardhan is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya, and it seems his life has started to change already. The star-kid is paying for shooting into the fame even before his first release.

In his latest interview, Harshvardhan revealed that he deleted a popular dating-app, Tinder, a while ago. He, however, said that he will reactivate the app once he will steps abroad. “I deleted my account a couple of months ago,” Harshvardhan said in the interview. “I will activate it soon as I take a trip abroad. I should be on Tinder though, right? Celebrities should be allowed to lead a normal life, although I’m not a celebrity yet.”

Despite coming from a Bollywood family, Harshvardhan is not someone who is only interested in doing commercial movies. And, his debut movie is clearly showing that. Harshvardhan is playing a dual-role of a stable boy and a warrior in Mirzya.

Interestingly, the Mirzya actor had to be an expert in horse riding to essay his role, but he knew nothing about it. He had to undergo a six-month training in Delhi, and then he went to the United States to work as a stable boy to get into the character’s skin.

Harshvardhan trained for almost a year-and-a-half even before the movie went into the floor. He is now working on Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi, which is his second project.
