The trailer of ‘Carbon’ has been released and it’s being touted as the first official Hindi science-fiction film. This movie is not an imitation of a Hollywood film, it’s our desi version.

‘Carbon’  is a futuristic short film set in 2067. The film is about trading of oxygen, just like the trading of gold, drugs and petrol. The film comes at a time when climate change has become such a big concern.

It stars Jackky Bhagnani, Nawazzudin Siddiqui, Prachi Desai in pivotal roles. The first look of all the three actors have been released and we must say that they look terrific. Jackky plays the role of a man with an artificial heart. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays as a man from Mars.

The short film is aimed at creating awareness about environmental issues. 

“Carbon”, which is written and directed by Maitrey Bajpai and Ramiz Ilham Khan, will soon release on Large Short Film’s YouTube channel.

Rock On 2 has failed to set the box office on fire. The critics giving it a thumbs down and the government’s demonitisation policy just prior to the release of the movie must have contributed majorly to the disastrous performance.

On 3rd Day Box Office Collection of Rock On 2 is only Rs 2.58 Cr.

Rock On 2 was poor all over the places and also it looks like Rock On 2 might collect less than its cost.

Rock On 2 is a 2016 Indian rock musical drama film directed by Shujaat Saudagar, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, and with music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The sequel to the 2008 film, Rock On!!, it stars Shraddha Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Shashank Arora, and Prachi Desai in lead roles.

Rock On 2 never had any buzz and had boring music. And that is why film opened to poor response all over. 1st Day Box Office Collection of Rock On 2 is only Rs 2.02 Cr.

The Currency issue has also hit the movie hard. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani said, “It did cross my mind to push the release date of the film but it was too late, because our overseas delivery was already done, the movie has opened today in Gulf so we would have got killed with piracy so if we would have shifted the India release piracy would have killed us.”

Rock On 2 also received average reviews from the critics. With the music too not being widely accepted, the film was headed to a low start.

Shraddha Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar have been singing their way to promote their latest movie Rock on 2. At the trailer launch the leading actors enthralled the audience with their singing ability. Prachi Desai and Purab Kohli were also there at the ‘concert’.

Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is known for her acting prowess as well as her singing, says she enjoys it when she gets a chance to explore her singing talent while working on a project.

Her soothing voice in songs like “Galliyan” and “Bezubaan phir se” has been well appreciated by listeners. She got a chance to sing her own songs in the musical drama “Rock On 2” – sequel of “Rock On”. “I am exploring the singing aspect and having too much fun exploring that. Also I feel grateful to Ritesh (Sidwani), Farhan Akhtar and Shujaat Saudagar (director) for considering me as a perfect fit for the role. I think it is a rare opportunity for me to sing for a musical film,” Shraddha said at the trailer launch of “Rock On 2”.

She has explored acting, singing and dancing. So what’s next for her?

“Well, I want to go with the flow. It was my childhood dream that I am singing and dancing apart from doing films. I am blessed that I am getting the opportunity to work in good films and playing such lovely characters. I hope this continues”,” she said.

The upcoming musical drama film is directed by Saudagar, produced by Farhan and Sidhwani, and has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. While Farhan, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai and Purab Kohli reprise their roles from “Rock On”, Shraddha and “Titli” fame actor and musician Shashank Arora have joined the team for the sequel.

Shraddha Kapoor: “This is the first time I am singing rock songs”

The actress says singing rock songs was difficult. “I am very fond of rock music so I was happy to get to sing my own songs in the film. I hope the songs of the film will receive as much love as the prequel,” she said.

Talking about the story of the film Farhan said, “Being the sequel of Rock On!! the story of the film revolves around the earlier characters but with different twist and turns. It is the continuous journey of the band – Magik.”

Farhan said that while the first film is about four guys who created Magik, this film is about how the journey of ‘Magik’ continues as young musicians join the band.

Farhan completed 15 years in Bollywood, as he directed his first film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ in 2001, which has achieved a cult following.

Talking about his journey as actor, director, singer and writer, he said, “When you work out of passion, you don’t think much about challenges. You do not calculate what you have to compromise to get creative satisfaction. You work with joy!”

Rock on 2 releases on November 11.

‘Rock On 2’ trailer is out! The vibrant look and powerful portrayal by lead actors, joined by Shraddha Kapoor, seem to have all the ingredients to better the Abhishek Kapoor’s 2008 hit ‘Rock On.’

The sequel helmed by director Shujaat Saudagar has put together a tight promo, with the lead actors from the original depicting older looks and this time the movie is based out of the North-east of India.

.Farhan Akhtar, Purab Kohli and Arjun Rampal play buddy again. This time there’s no Luke Kenny but there’s Shraddha along with Prachi Desai and Shahana Goswami, who return to play Farhan and Arjun’s wives again.

The music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is already being appreciated. ‘Rock On!! 2’ is slated to release on 11^th November.

Shashank, being one of the new characters in the film, talked about his experience working on such an iconic film and said, ” As Rock On!! has created a benchmark, I felt immense pressure to deliver the best. But as everyone treated me like family, I worked comfortably and tried my best to contribute to the film.”

Prachi Desai, feeling emotional and nostalgic said, “I made my Bollywood debut with Rock On!! It’s been eight years and now I am a part of the sequel. My character goes through an internal conflict and emotional journey in this film. The character has matured and has a new look. I hope people like it.”
