Actress Adah Sharma is excited about featuring in a new music video for a track by popular rapper Raftaar.

Raftaar, known for songs like “Toh dishoom” and “Dhaakad”, created buzz when he posted a few photographs on Instagram of a lady who was to be seen in the music video. But the eyes were covered, leading to much speculation about who it is.

Confirming her presence in the video, Adah said in a statement: “Yes, I’m doing the video. They thought I was perfect for it. When I received a call for this music video, I instantly said yes with no hesitation. Raftaar’s songs are awesome and this one is super too.”

The actress has worked in films like “1920” and “Commando 2”.

Popular rapper Raftaar’s new single ‘Baby Marvake Manegi’ from his album ‘Zero To Infinity’ is out. The sexy video starring Nora Fatehi is choreographed by Remo D’souza. The makers have experimented with a brand new dance style in the video called dancehall.

The single is a Hindi version of Grammy Award winning singer Justin Bieber’s hit song “Baby”.

Raftaar launched the single on Zee Music, the same date Bieber performed in India for the first time.

Ankit Khanna, business partner of Raftaar, said: “It is such a coincidence that the single is titled ‘Baby’ and it will be launched on the very same day Bieber performs in India. The single focuses on respect for the fairer sex.”

Raftaar is known for songs like “Warna Gabbar aa jaega”, “Singh And Kaur”, “Toh dishoom”, “Dhaakad” and “Haseeno ka deewana”.

Watch the second song “Haseeno Ka Deewana” from the upcoming Bollywood Movie ‘Kaabil’. The song is a new version of Kishore Kumar’s ”Sara Zamana” from the film Yaarana recreated by composers Gourav & Roshin. Voiced by singers Raftaar and Payal Dev, the video features model turned actress Urvashi Rautela.

Kaabil releases on 25 January, 2017.

Creating a new version of party song “Ki kariye nachna aaonda nahin” for forthcoming film “Tum Bin 2”, took just five days, says director Anubhav Sinha.

The song, which released on Monday on YouTube features TV actress Mouni Roy, rapper Raftaar, singers Hardy Sandhu and Neha Kakkar.

“The idea of ‘Ki kariye nachna…’ struck me when Bhushan Kumar (producer) told me that the film had all the various flavours to it to deem it a hit on the musical aspect, barring the Punjabi tadka,” Sinha said in a statement.

“So when we had our wrap up party in Scotland, I vividly remember the foreigners going crazy on ‘Ki kariye nachna…’ and it was my wish to recreate this song. But due to the paucity of time, we had to create a brand new version in a span of five days. This is the fastest I have ever delivered a soundtrack, complete with a video,” he added.

Talking about the inclusion of the song in the film, Kumar says that the first film “Tum Bin” had ten songs. So, “keeping up with the changing times”, the second instalment of the film has only five.

“When we saw the film, we realised after looking at the legacy of the original musical hit, that we should have one more song in the film. And here it is.”

Composers Gaurav-Roshan have recreated the music, while Sandhu and Kakkar have lent their voices to the track with rap inputs by Raftaar.

The video is choreographed by Remo D’Souza.

“Tum Bin 2” is set to release on November 18.

Amy Jackson makes her music debut with the party song Lak Hilaade in collaboration with rapper-singer Raftaar and UK-based singer-song writer Manj Musik. The trio has shot a music video for the Punjabi-English-Hindi music single.

Amy is currently busy shooting for the Rajinikanth starrer Robot 2.0 said that she always wanted to do a music video that has a hip-hop vibe, like a Rihanna song with Drake rapping.

It was an event to launch Dishoom’s song – ’Toh Dishoom’. The fun-filled event saw rapper Raftaar singing alone, singing along with Varun Dhawan. The unmistakable bromance of Varun and John Abraham and Varun imitating Jacqueline Fernandez dance moves.  The title track ‘Toh Dishoom’ is composed by Pritam, sung by Raftaar and Shahid Mallya. Sajid Nadiadwala’s Dishoom revolves around two buddy cops by John and Varun. 

Since Yo Yo Honey Singh took a jibe at Badshah in March, everything is not right between him and rapper Raftaar. It became evident in a recent media interaction when Raftaar vowed not to work with Singh anytime in the near future.

Badshah, Raftaar and Honey Singh were part of a famous musical group Mafia Mundeer, which gave number of hits. But, Honey Singh’s potshots put him and other group members at loggerheads. During a media interaction, Raftaar was quotes as saying, “I can only vouch for myself. Never.”

Raftaar’s first solo and inspiration

The 27-year-old rapper is coming up with his first solo, named ‘Instagram Love’. Raftaar insisted that working with other singers was his learning period that is why his solo journey took a while to start.

“I was waiting for the right time to start my solo journey,” Raftaar insisted. “Before this, I was learning by being part of all the songs that you know me for. I am hoping much more from my journey,”

Raftaar said his new song ‘Instagram Love’ is inspired from the young generation, which instantly falls in love without knowing the other person. He added that now youngsters easily convince themselves that they are in love, just by seeing pictures on social networking sites like Instagram.
