Raveena Tandon: I had a huge crush on Sanjay Dutt https://glint.tv/movies/raveena-tandon-i-had-a-huge-crush-on-sanjay-dutt/ Tue, 30 May 2017 11:20:56 +0000 https://glint.tv/?p=9000

Raveena Tandon, who is gearing up for her next film “Shab”, says she had a huge crush on actor Sanjay Dutt at one point.

During the promotional interviews of “Shab”, Raveena was asked about her favourite stars. She said the choice changes from time to time.

“In my childhood days, I was a fan of Rishi Kapoor and then when I grew up a bit, I had a crush on Sanjay Dutt. I have worked with him in seven films. I used to be very scared while working with him as I couldn’t believe that I was actually doing a film with someone whose poster were all over my room’s wall.

“I had a very huge crush on him,” said the actress, who has worked with Sanjay in films like “Kshatriya”, “Vijeta” and “L.O.C Kargil”.

Talking about “Shab”, Raveena said: “It is a very sensitive film dealing with relationships. Relationships are never easy and are always complicated. The film is made with very ensemble cast and mostly it talks about relationships and the way everyone is connected with each other.

“I feel that when people will watch the film, they will easily connect some or the other character.”

“I mostly try to do different characters. After ‘Maatr’, you will see me here in a very glamorous avatar with a bit of grey shades in it. Doing different things excites me. I like to do things which challenges me as an actor, something which i never did before. So all that is exciting for me, and I hope I am successful in this as well,” she added.

Directed by Onir, “Shab” also features Arpita Chatterjee, Ashish Bisht, Simon Frenay, Gaurav Nanda and Areesz Ganddi. The film is scheduled to release on June 30.

Producers Bhushan Kumar and Sandeep Singh said that they are happy with the way the movie is turning out.

Actor Shekhar Suman who is making a comeback after a long time with Sanjay Dutt in ‘Bhoomi’ feels that Dutt was still the person he had been before.

“Sanjay’s USP is that he hasn’t changed a bit. We are in a situation where we have lots of beautiful memories, long-standing friendship along with a new film, new people and a new idea, which I believe it can’t go wrong,” he said in an interview to IANS.

“Sanjay bullies us whenever he is on the set. He delivers his part very well and off-camera he keeps giggling before other actor’s shot. So he is very relaxed, chilled out,” added Shekhar, who plays a tour guide and Dutt’s best friend in the film.

Sanjay Dutt talks about Salman Khan, jail term and much more https://glint.tv/movies/sanjay-dutt-talks-about-salman-khan-jail-term-and-much-more/ Wed, 31 Aug 2016 17:35:28 +0000 https://glint.tv/?p=3266

Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan have been close friends, but there were reports of friction between them. The duo, reportedly, was not in talking terms for a while, but Dutt has rubbished such reports, saying that everything is fine between him and Salman.

“What jhagda? I went to his Ganpati celebrations when I was out on furlough and no one wrote about it,” Dutt insisted. “But he didn’t visit me after I returned and that was news.”

“He’s a busy actor, he was shooting far away, he can’t be sitting at my house 24×7 but he’s still my younger brother,” he added.

All is well between Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta?

Dutt also cleared air on his relationship with friend-cum-director Sanjay Gupta. They have worked together in hit movies, such as Kaante and Musafir.

Bhaiyon mein jhagda hota hai (brother have differences sometimes) and the world takes advantage of that. But jab bhai mil jaate hain (when everything is fine), no one talks about it,” Dutt pointed out.

Completion of jail term and parole

Dutt has recently been released from Yerawada Jail after completing his sentence, related to 1993 Bombay Blasts. Despite being in Pune jail, Dutt was seen frequently coming out on parole, which he said every inmate gets, but his was highlighted as he is a celebrity.

“I’d served out 18 months of the sentence earlier so I was entitled to furlough six months into my term this time,” Dutt said. “Every day hundreds of prisoners come out on parole and hundreds go back in, no one talks about them. Stardom is a double-edged sword.”
