Amibabh Bachchan has had a long association with the city of joy. It was here that Big B began his professional career - as an executive in an advertising agency. He spent seven to eight years in the city before moving onto Mumbai to rule the Indian film industry for decades. His connection with the city grew stronger when Bachchan got married to Bengali actress Jaya Bhaduri.
During the launch of his upcoming movie TE3N, Bachchan shared his experiences with Kolkata - his first job in the city, rows of restaurants in Park Street, about the city's famous 'addas', about its people, art and culture. Sujoy Ghosh's film TE3N is shot entirely in Kolkata.
